The Villager Choir is open to any client at The Village Learning Center provided he/she can fulfill the membership requirements. Members of the Villager Choir will experience and learn to appreciate a variety of musical styles; develop singing skills appropriate to choral singing to the best of each member’s ability; enhance musical awareness through use of chimes and rhythm instruments; learn teamwork skills and appropriate performance etiquette, and serve as ambassadors for The Village Learning Center through outreach to the greater community by performing several times a year.
- Choir members will follow classroom rules and be actively engaged in all choir activities as they are able.
- Regular attendance at rehearsal is vital to the success of the individual choir member as well as the group as a whole. All choir members must be able to regularly attend at least 50% of the rehearsals. Excessive absences will result in the removal from the choir roster.
- Rehearsals are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00-10:30 am throughout the year.
- There are also at least two scheduled performances per year, with dates TBD.
- Download the Summer/Fall Schedule here.

Optional Add-On Afternoon Clubs
The Village will transition to Club V Programs in the afternoon at 2:00PM. The Club V programs consist of 2 options: Club V – Explore and Club V – Create. Club V programs will be set on a 3-month rotation of activities to promote learning through repetition and consistency.
Club V – Explore will offer opportunities to explore new interests, develop a hobby or craft, or continue developing personal goals. Explore offers a wide variety of programming in which to participate, including (but not limited to) music/karaoke, dance, crafts, Village Council, Guy/Girl talk, book club, recreational and physical fitness, bible study, computer skills, and trips to the library. Classes/activities can vary from day to day and week to week.
Club V – Create will allow Villagers the opportunity to explore several different types of art each week to garner new ways of expression. Through the fundamentals of drawing, painting, ceramics and photography, Villagers will learn about the power that art holds. The Villagers will then use varying techniques to make their own portfolios that can then be developed into items for sale at The Village Thrift Store. The Club V – Create program provides Villagers with an atmosphere to not only express themselves, but to find that their expression has a place in the world around them.
