Village Learning & Achievement Center’s After School Care Program provides fee-based after-school care for individuals with disabilities, ages 14-22. It is a collaborative program between Village Learning & Achievement Center, Lake Houston YMCA and Humble ISD. Currently, the YMCA provides after-school care to children with disabilities between the ages of 5-13, and Village Learning & Achievement Center provides after-school care to the adolescents between the ages of 14-22. Humble ISD provides transportation for the students to the appropriate centers for care, and Humble ISD and Village Learning & Achievement Center provides staff training to the YMCA personnel.
